Working with Jan has been so amazing since the first day we ever spoke to one another. He is so easy to talk to, has such a great eye for detail, has such great suggestions for shooting, and his passion for shooting is so obvious. In addition to our wedding day, my husband and I had a shoot with Jan the day before our wedding as well. It was rainy and gloomy that day, but even our outdoor photos still came out AMAZING. It literally looks like we came out of a fashion magazine; you would never know how terrible the weather was. Jan can capture the beauty on camera in any situation. Our wedding photos are absolutely unbelievable. I have never felt more glamorous in my life than how Jan made me feel that day, and it reflects SO well in our wedding photos. I look at them every day and I can’t believe they’re real. It’s so much more than just his eye for shooting… his editing skills are top-notch, so far above and beyond other photographers I’ve seen. He can seamlessly remove and correct anything that detracts from the overall beauty of a photo, whether that’s an object in the background or a scar or line somewhere on your body. He pays attention to so many little details that I’ve seen other photographers ignore, like symmetry and color palette. On the day of our wedding, he made all of us feel so comfortable, continually made us laugh, and made us all feel so attractive and confident while shooting with him. He gave us so much good direction when we didn’t know how to stand or what to do. And all of our photos came out looking like they were from a magazine – not just your basic boring posed wedding photos. He made me feel like a supermodel. Even working with him to book travel and all the mundane details for my wedding was so easy because he is so nice and fun to talk to. And when he delivered our photos, they were even organized chronologically and by category (ie. ladies getting ready, ceremony, reception, portraits, etc), which made them so easy to review and choose from! I really hope that we get the chance to shoot with him again in the future! He captured our wedding so beautifully and went so far above and beyond what I ever expected from a wedding photographer, and was truly worth every penny. He is THE BEST!!!!!
If I could give Freire Wedding Photography 10 stars I would because they are definitely worth it! Jan came to my husband and my rescue when our original photographer bailed on us two weeks before our wedding. Obviously, I was worried having never met or worked with him before, but I truly believe God puts people in your life when you need them most, and this was definitely one of those times. Everything happens for a reason, and we are so glad Jan was referred to us by a friend. Not only did he calm my nerves, answer a million questions, and pay extra attention to us leading into our special day, but he was super positive, upbeat and you could tell he genuinely cared about us being happy, having fun, and getting great photos. We got married in Miami on 8/12/17, which had to be one of the hottest days in history (or so it felt), and despite being soaked in sweat after busting his ass for 12 hours straight, he never complained or stopped giving us his all. At the end of the night, it felt like we’d known Jan our entire lives and like he was family. THAT right there is what makes him different than the rest; truly one-of-a-kind. After only one day of meeting with us, he knew what and who was important to us. He read the crowd and knew how to get people to react for the camera. All of our guests were captured in a natural way, and we have some of the best photographic memories to enjoy for the rest of our lives. I’m a very picky person when it comes to photos, but Jan worked closely with me to make sure I was happy. Even though he has a million other clients, he made sure I had his full and undivided attention. He is truly a magician with a camera and an overall wonderful person and professional. I got married in February and only planned my wedding in 2 months, Jan was super helpful in meeting up with me several times before and ensuring that this will be the most spectacular wedding, which it was. How can we possibly thank Jan for helping us celebrate one of the most important days in our lives? Leading up to the wedding, our photographer, who we booked 1.5 years in advance (!) and who had done our engagement photos, suddenly backed out of our wedding. To say we were disappointed was an understatement, but that’s when we were introduced to Jan. My husband and I loved his upbeat personality and true talent as we looked at picture after picture in his portfolio. He is an absolutely amazing photographer! Lucky us that he shared his talents with us!! After an amazing day, we couldn’t wait to see them – and a week later we got a sneak peek and loved every one of them. When planning a wedding the three things you need to make or break your wedding is, Dj, venue, and photographer. My mom and I searched high and low for the perfect photographer. She stumbled across Jan’s website. When I looked at his website I said to myself there is no way someone can capture pics like this, these are awesome, they look like editorial photos from a fashion magazine.
When Jan arrived, he was super professional, and a risk-taker. The pictures came out AMAZING. We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer! Please please please, do yourself a favor and hire Jan for your next event.

Jan’s pictures should be magazine covers!!!! They are incredible!!! I can’t even tell you how impressed we are!!! He is a true artist!!! Very, very talented!!!! You could tell from the start he wasn’t your typical photographer where you have to tell him what pictures you want. I felt so comfortable surrendering all photo control to him on my wedding day, knowing he would know when the light was perfect and the setting was just right!!
